To assess your skill levels in math, reading and language for proper placement in math and English courses, you will take the computerized COMPASS test. In some cases you might take ASSET, the paper version of the test.
Assessment is not pass or fail and will not prohibit you from entering the college. However, some Health Sciences programs may require additional testing. See the college catalog for more details.
Since math and English involve reasoning, reading and writing skills, which are vital to success in most college classes, it's important to start at the right level.
