The body reacts through a physiological process when exposed to stressful events. This natural process can help us protect ourselves from dangerous situations. In fact, moderate stress gives us the energy and motivation to increase our performance. However, if our bodies experience stress in excess physical, psychological, and personal issues may arise that impede our daily living and well-being. 

Stress causes many different emotions such as anxiety, fear, irritability, and moodiness. College students often experience many major life changes while attending school, both positive and negative, which may feel stressful. Learning more about stress and various stress management tools and techniques can assist in improving overall well-being.
