Our military men and women risk their lives, often experiencing unspeakable events as part of their job defending the freedom of America. It is common for these difficult situations to take a toll on a person’s mental and physical well-being. Post-traumatic stress, depression, insomnia, substance abuse, family problems, anxiety, anger and a host of other issues are common concerns for our military members, especially those returning from war-torn places. Other transitions such as relocation, a call to active duty, and family separation can be equally as challenging. Many out-reach programs, local services, and web resources are available for our veterans and their families.
