PART-TIME INSTRUCTORS/HEATING, VENTILATION, A/C AND REFRIGERATION (HVAR)

Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for part-time HVAR instructors. Specific topics include Fitting, Fusion, Fabricating, Refrigeration & A.C. Principles, Basic electrical controls, Basic electrical systems, Advanced Refrigeration & A.C. Principles, Heating Fundamentals, Psychometrics, Load calculations, Commercial Refrigeration, Advanced Commercial Refrigeration, Systems design, Advanced Electrical Controls, Advanced Heating systems, National Electrical Code, Commercial HVAR Systems, Mechanical Codes, PLCs, Motor Controls, Distribution Panels, Electrical Building Wiring, Air Delivery Systems, Heat Pumps, Geothermal, HVAR Computer Applications, Licensing and Certification Prep. Teaching assignments are available immediately. Class times will vary in both the day and evening.

Qualifications

B.S. in Industrial Technology or an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration

OR Four years of work experience in the areas of residential heating and cooling, light commercial refrigeration, and commercial refrigeration. E.P.A approved Refrigerant Handlers Certification required for all courses requiring the handling of refrigerants.

Salary

The starting salary is $37.65 per contact hour (base Associate's degree).

Belleville Campus and/or Sam Wolf Granite City Campus
