Industrial Safety

Industrial Safety Courses are a series of classes designed to teach you the safety standards and practices used in industry today.

In this series of courses students will study first aid and Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation, hazard communications, hazardous waste operations, personal protection equipment, OSHA regulations, confined space entry; and learn the hazards of bloodborne diseases.

Courses for OSHA awareness are offered in a 10-hour or 30-hour outreach format. OSHA awareness programs cover topics such as general safety, lifting techniques, eye and hearing protection, fire safety and procedures, forklift operation, hazardous material identification, writing procedures and plans, labeling materials, manifest documents and record keeping.

Individual courses may satisfy specific needs of an employer or business.

These courses may serve as approved Technical Electives in all Industrial Technology programs.
