Special Programs

Adult Basic Education offers programs, instruction and services to adults 16 years of age or older who: are not enrolled (or required to be enrolled) in secondary school and lack sufficient mastery of basic skills to function effectively in society; do not have a secondary diploma (or its recognized equivalent); or are unable to speak, read or write the English language. Classes and services are offered at the Belleville, Sam Wolf Granite City and Red Bud campuses; the East St. Louis Community College Center; and at many extension centers throughout the district. All classes are free.
