Driving
The campus is on West South Fourth Street, off Highway 3 in Red Bud, southwest of Red Bud Regional Hospital. From Highway 3, turn west onto West South Fourth Street.
Public Transportation
For a small fee, students from the Chester, Ellis Grove, Evansville, Sparta, Steeleville and Waterloo areas can take advantage of the Monroe-Randolph Transit “SWIC Connection” to the Red Bud Campus. To arrange transportation, call 618-443-4433.

Southwestern Illinois College’s Red Bud Campus offers many of the courses that are available at SWIC’s Belleville campus. The campus provides large and comfortable classrooms, a state-of-the-art computer lab, convenient parking, and is home to one of the college’s libraries where students can receive a variety of academic support services, including testing, tutoring, and library services.

MAKING COLLEGE EVEN MORE AFFORDABLE!
By adding 3 or more credit hours at the Red Bud Campus to your current course schedule, you can take advantage of a tuition waiver for 3 semester credits of tuition and mandatory fees, provided you meet the following criteria:
- Currently enrolled in at least 9 semester credits toward a declared associate degree program.
- Currently enrolled in at least one Red Bud on-campus course.
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 and a completion rate of 67% or higher.
Additionally, students already enrolled at the Red Bud Campus with more than 12 credit hours will have the waiver automatically applied to cover 3 credit hours of their enrollment.

CNA
Acquire entry-level experience through a blend of classroom and clinicals!
A CNA, or Certified Nursing Assistant, is a healthcare professional who provides basic care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). The Certified Nursing Assistant Program (CNA) also serves as an excellent initial stage for those aspiring to apply for other sought-after healthcare programs.

Start your career in nursing!
Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) equips students with fundamental skills essential for the frontline of nursing.
The LPN program on the Red Bud Campus starts in the summer semester. Due to its competitive nature, this program necessitates an application. Applications for acceptance into the program on the Red Bud Campus are accepted January 31 through March 31.

Academic Advising
Allow one of our advisors to assist you in designing a class schedule that suits your lifestyle.
While appointments aren’t necessary, scheduling one can optimize your time.

Textbook Services
Pick up your textbooks close to home
Order books online through the bookstore and select 500 W South 4th Red Bud Campus as your pickup location. Pick up your books with a valid ID Monday through Friday in the Student Services office between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Career Services/WIOA
WIOA assists eligible individuals in covering the costs of their education and training.
Career Services offers support for various aspects of career readiness, such as job applications, resume building, and interview preparation.

Disability and Access Center
The Disability & Access Center (DAC) works together with students, faculty, staff and the community to establish an inclusive environment tailored to your needs.
DAC offers assistance in arranging accommodations, such as providing assistive technology, extended test times, seating adjustments, and more.
Located in room 164 within the Student Services area, DAC operates with varying hours, so it’s advisable to schedule appointments in advance. You can reach DAC by calling 618-222-5368 (voice) or 618-234-3347 (TDD), or by emailing disabilityandaccesscenter@swic.edu.
Financial Aid
Completing financial aid paperwork can often pose challenges during college. Allow us to assist you!
Obtain assistance with financial aid within the Student Services Offices near the main entrance of the campus and we can connect you with a financial aid advisor. It’s recommended to schedule appointments in advance.

The library offers all the essentials, whether you require a tranquil spot to tackle homework or conduct research for your papers.
RBC boasts a spacious library stocked with abundant resources tailored to your academic or personal pursuits! Features include:

Require assistance with homework or feeling anxious about an upcoming test? Allow our tutors and success coaches to lend a hand!
Visit the Success Center located within the library for support and a peaceful environment to tackle those challenging homework assignments!
The Success Center also provides learning boot camps at the beginning of the semester to give students an early boost in subjects like math and chemistry.

Adult Education and Literacy
SWIC’s adult education and literacy program is the perfect place for adult learners seeking to enhance their career prospects, language proficiency and life skills.

Testing Services
Convenient testing options right in your neighborhood
The RBC Testing Center, conveniently situated within the Red Bud Campus Library (Room 190), provides placement and instructional testing services for students, along with specialized testing options. Our dedicated staff members at the Success Center, Library, and Testing Center are committed to assisting RBC students in uncovering the wealth of free academic support services accessible to them.
Hours: Mondays from 8:00 am-4:00 pm.
Placement testing is from 8:00 am – 1:00 pm and no appointment is necessary. Instructional testing is from 12-2:30 pm and is by appointment. For an appointment, call 618-282-6682, ext. 8134, email RBTC@swic.edu, or use the links below.

For additional testing needs, Red Bud students can test remotely. Remote tests are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis and must be instructor approved. Remote appointments must be made 48 hours in advance. Remote Tests for the ALEKS PPL Math Placement must begin 3 hours before the Testing Center closes.

Cyber Lounge
Looking for a place to hang out between classes? Explore the cyber lounge.
The Cyber Lounge provides students with a cozy environment to complete assignments or socialize with friends. It features computer stations for working on assignments or checking emails, along with comfortable seating for relaxation and stress relief. Additionally, there’s a designated area perfect for small group collaborations or study sessions.
