ACT/SAT Requirements for Physical Therapist Assistant - Southwestern Illinois College

The minimum ACT score of 18 or minimum New SAT score of 940 is required for application to the program.

ACT

A minimum ACT composite score of 18 is required (the best score is used).
Note: An ACT score of 17 or below has been correlated with an inability to pass the PTA National Licensure examination.
Test scores more than 10 years old as of Feb. 1 are not acceptable.

New SAT

A minimum New SAT score of 940 is required (the best score is used).
Note: A New SAT score of 939 or below has been correlated with an inability to pass the PTA National Licensure examination.

High school students:

Plan to complete the ACT/SAT in the spring semester of the junior year to allow ample time to retest if needed.

Track One applicants:

Take the ACT/SAT as soon as possible to allow ample time to retest if needed.
