What is an video conferencing course?
Video conferencing courses offer students an opportunity to attend a convenient site when enrolling in a course at Southwestern Illinois College. Digitally compressed voice, data, and video signals are transmited through network lines and provide live broadcast access to specified classsrooms. The classrooms are linked by camera and TV monitors which allow for the two-way communication with the faculty and students of the course.
How do I register for a video conferencing course?
The registration process is the same for video conferencing courses as it is for all SWIC courses. Students may register in person, by telephone. Registration is not accepted by mail. For more information contact:

How do I obtain textbooks and other course materials?
If a textbook is required for your course, visit your bookstore or for additional information visit the bookstore website at www.swic.edu/servies/bookstore.jsp.

If I am enrolled in a video conferencing course, will library services and resources be available to me?
Yes. Access to Periodical and Newspaper Databases is provided through the SWIC Library homepage.
Books may be checked out using your SWIC Library Card at the Belleville Campus Library, Sam Wolf Granite City Campus Library, and Red Bud Campus Library.
