Even Start is a family literacy program offered in the Cahokia and Centreville communities. The program is concerned with the growth of the family. Services are free of charge. Parents who are taking GED or ESL classes and whose children are under the age of 8 are eligible to join Even Start. Services include home visits bringing parent/child activities and parenting information, field trips, library story hours, family reading nights, weekly play groups and parent support groups.
