Scholarships listed below come from outside groups who want to provide financial assistance to SWIC students.
Award for the 2014-2015 academic year: $2,000
Deadline to apply: March 21, 2014
- Enrolled in a Skilled Trades program, including electronic systems, HVAC, plumbing, welding, automotive, constructions, facilities maintenance, or industrial trades or a Public Safety program, including first responder, law enforcement (city, county, state), prison guard, firefighter, fire safety, EMT, emergency management or disaster preparedness
- Enrolled in at least 12 course credit hours per semester
- Have a 3.0 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale
- Graduate from a trade or public safety program in 2015
Applicants may pick up the application from the Financial Aid and Student Employment office. All completed application packets must be returned to the Financial Aid office no later than March 21, 2014 for consideration.
