The Film Program at Southwestern Illinois College trains students in both Film Study (understanding, analyzing, and writing about film) and Motion Picture Production (the technical and aesthetic aspects of making fictional and documentary movies). Students gain skills they can use in professional situations as well as for their own lifelong personal enjoyment.

Career Opportunities

A variety of careers in advertising, business, the film industry, television, and government are open to students who graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Film including:
