About the Industrial Metalworking Program
The Industrial Metalworking Program offers both a certificate and an AAS degree option. The courses required by the program provide core knowledge and basic skills for people wishing to enter the metalworking craft and provides a good foundation for a continuing and developing career path in that business.
Students learn how to make sheetmetal forms and fittings. Layout and construction procedures are studied in addition to blueprint reading, welding and metallurgy. Much of the work is associated with ducting for HVAC requirements. Sheetmetal working is needed in many industries in a variety of forms. Graduates can find employment in maintenance groups of manufacturing plants, installation work on construction projects or serving HVAC systems.

After completing the Industrial Metalworking Program you will be prepared to work as a:
- Sheetmetal Worker
- Sheetmetal Fabricator
- Duct Installer
After successful completion of the program graduates in all types of industry.
Entry level positions can expect to start at about $20,000 to $25,000 per year.
