Admission Procedures

All applicants are advised to see an academic counselor in the Southwestern Illinois College Counseling Center when applying to the college.

The admission procedure for this program is in accordance with Illinois State law. The law requires that programs not having sufficient space and resources to accommodate all applicants will accept those applicants best qualified, using rank, ability, and achievement test scores as guides, with preference given to district

residents.

Southwestern Illinois College’s Interpreter Training (IT) Program is open to any student who is a high school graduate, earned a high school equivalency certificate, or who is transferring from an accredited college or university.
