Mondays, 2 - 4 p.m.

Pronounced "we", this home video game is a fun way to get together with your friends and play baseball, golf, bowling, etc. by using a hand-held remote and television screen. You'll get a little stretching exercise and a lot of fun when playing. After a little practice, you'll even be able to impress your kids and grandkids with your knowledge when they talk about their Wii! The game and flat-screen television are located in the Activity Room, lower level, at PSOP. For more information, call 618-234-4410, ext. 7016.

By special request, we are doing the marbled bowling balls. Cost for materials is $12. Design your ball on Wednesday and then Thursday you can pick it up and display it in your yard. They're beautiful! If you have already made a ball, you can make fun marshmallow guns for $2. They are great fun with kids and camping! Call if you are coming so we have enough materials for everyone.

Renew, Reuse, Refresh. It's all here in "Black & White" this year for our Annual Fashion Show. Our models will stroll down the runway in beautiful clothes from local thrift stores. There is also an opportunity to purchase items from vendors while waiting for the show. Enjoy a delicious lunch, drink and dessert plus the show for $10. Edith unknowingly invites a mafia family into her home and Archie realizes he must do a "job" for the godfather or he may be sleeping with the fish! Come with us to Alton to laugh at this hilarious play and enjoy a lunch of chicken mudega and beef marsala along with salad, vegetable and dessert. After the show, our step-on-guide gives us a two-hour tour of the major historical sites of Alton and Godfrey. Pick-up point is the Schnucks on North Belt West at 10:30 a.m. Return will be at about 4:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn and 5:15 p.m. in Belleville. We are making some changes to provide everyone with a fair opportunity to sign up for trips, avoid empty seats and keep trips affordable.

Beginning Jan. 1, 2014 - To make a reservation for a day trip, dial the extension listed with the trip description. The recording will ask you to give your name and phone number, the date and name of the trip, and the names of people you are making reservations for. You will then be given seven working days to complete the registration form in the PSOP newsletter and mail it or bring it to the Activities & Travel office along with your payment. Any payment not received within seven days will result in your reservation being cancelled.

If a cancellation is received seven days or more before the trip, then a full refund will be given. If a cancellation is received seven days or less to the start of the trip, and a replacement is found, then a full refund less a $5 processing fee will be given. If no replacement is found, no refund will be given. Special cancellation policies may apply if the trip involves the purchase of non-refundable tickets.
