Pronounced "we," this home video game is a fun way to get together with your friends and play baseball, golf, bowling, etc. by using a hand-held remote and television screen. You'll get a little stretching exercise and a lot of fun when playing. After a little practice, you'll even be able to impress your kids and grandkids with your knowledge when they talk about their Wii! We are starting a new Friday craft group. We will have supplies and instructions; we just need some willing hands to craft with us. We will make a variety of crafts together. Visit the Boeing Prologue Room, which is an air and space museum, to learn about St. Louis' role in fighter jets, helicopters, airliners and spacecraft. Next, visit the oldest Catholic church building between the Mississippi and the Rocky Mountains followed by lunch at Handel's Market (chicken salad, slaw, chips and carrot cake). Walk off lunch as you stroll across a Route 66 relic, the old Chain of Rocks Bridge. Finish the day at the beautiful Missouri/Mississippi River Confluence site. Cost is $89 per person. When lively lounge singer Deloris Van Cartier sees her mobster beau commit murder, she relocated for her protection. She's placed in a California convent where she pretends to be a nun. In an effort to keep her out of trouble, the nuns assign Deloris to the convent's choir, an ensemble that she soon turns into a vibrant and soulful act that gains widespread attention. Spend the afternoon at Stages St. Louis for a great musical after lunch at Café Telegraph. We are making some changes to provide everyone with a fair opportunity to sign up for trips, avoid empty seats and keep trips affordable.
Beginning Jan. 1, 2014 - To make a reservation for a day trip, dial the extension listed with the trip description. The recording will ask you to give your name and phone number, the date and name of the trip, and the names of people you are making reservations for. You will then be given seven working days to complete the registration form in the PSOP newsletter and mail it or bring it to the Activities & Travel office along with your payment. Any payment not received within seven days will result in your reservation being cancelled.
If a cancellation is received seven days or more before the trip, then a full refund will be given. If a cancellation is received seven days or less to the start of the trip, and a replacement is found, then a full refund less a $5 processing fee will be given. If no replacement is found, no refund will be given. Special cancellation policies may apply if the trip involves the purchase of non-refundable tickets.
