Pronounced "we", this home video game is a fun way to get together with your friends and play baseball, golf, bowling, etc. by using a hand-held remote and television screen. You'll get a little stretching exercise and a lot of fun when playing. After a little practice, you'll even be able to impress your kids and grandkids with your knowledge when they talk about their Wii! Jim Laughlin takes us to the Soulard neighborhood for several church tours: Trinity Lutheran Church (mother church of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod); Sts. Peter and Paul (made of Grafton limestone and seats 3,000); St. Raymond's (Eastern Rite Catholic Church founded in 1898 and currently made up of a large community of Lebanese families); St. Vincent de Paul (first Roman Catholic parish in the area and designed by Meriwether Lewis Clark); and St. Agatha (German Catholic organized in 1871). Lunch will be at St. Raymond's. Cost is $79 per person. Depart the Schnucks on North Belt West at 8:30 a.m. and return will be approximately 4:15 p.m.

Linda Koenig meets us for a visit to the Melvin Price Lock and Dam and the new Audubon Center. We will also visit Principia College to view the archeological dig site of a 21,000 year-old wooly mammoth nicknamed "Benny" by Professor Treworgy and her students. We are the ONLY group she is allowing to visit this site and see the bones in 2014! After lunch at Principia, we head to the top of the River Confluence Tower for its breathtaking views, then drive through Wood River to see the 23 Sears Houses. Cost is $79 per person. Depart the Schnucks on North Belt West at 8:10 a.m. and the Lewis & Clark Center in Hartford at 9:10 a.m. Return will be at approximately 4:15 p.m. to the Lewis & Clark Center and 5 p.m. to Belleville.

Linda Koenig takes us to the most important Army base in the U.S. - Fort Leonard Wood. Our base guide will join us on a bus tour of the engineering and HAZMAT training sites, the museum of engineering, military police, chemical warfare and much more. Lunch will be with the troops in the mess hall. A supper stop (on your own) at Super Smokers will be made. You MUST have a driver's license or passport with you to get onto the base. Cost is $78 per person. Pick-up point is the Schnucks on North Belt West at 7:20 a.m. Return will be at about 8:20 p.m. If you are a veteran, please state your branch and MOS on the reservation form.

We are making some changes to provide everyone with a fair opportunity to sign up for trips, avoid empty seats and keep trips affordable.
Beginning Jan. 1, 2014 - To make a reservation for a day trip, dial the extension listed with the trip description. The recording will ask you to give your name and phone number, the date and name of the trip, and the names of people you are making reservations for. You will then be given seven working days to complete the registration form in the PSOP newsletter and mail it or bring it to the Activities & Travel office along with your payment. Any payment not received within seven days will result in your reservation being cancelled.
If a cancellation is received seven days or more before the trip, then a full refund will be given. If a cancellation is received seven days or less to the start of the trip, and a replacement is found, then a full refund less a $5 processing fee will be given. If no replacement is found, no refund will be given. Special cancellation policies may apply if the trip involves the purchase of non-refundable tickets.
