Release Of Statistical Data In Compliance With Clery Act

As stated elsewhere in this report, all persons are encouraged to report crimes to the DPS (See Reporting Crimes and Incidents).

In compliance with the Clery Act (as amended in 1998), the following positions are classified as a "Campus Security Authority (CSA):"

Under the Clery Act, pastoral and professional counselors are not required to report statistical data; however, counselors are encouraged to inform the person they are counseling of any procedures to report crime on a voluntary, confidential basis for inclusion in the annual disclosure of crime statistics.

This means that any crimes reportable under the Clery Act, which are reported to the previously listed offices, or referrals made to the Office for Student Development for disciplinary action, are reported as statistics in this report.
