When you choose to become a member of the William & Florence Schmidt Art Center, you become part of an extraordinary group. Whether through a Friends or Masters of the Arts membership, your contribution helps maintain the programs in the gallery.

Membership Levels

Basic Membership Benefits:

Recognition in Foundation's Annual Report

Invitations to exhibits, lectures, and performances

Masters of the Arts - $10,000+

This Lifetime Membership includes all basic membership benefits, name on Masters of the Arts wall, use of Erlinger Conference Room for up to 16 people for two four-hour periods each year or one eight-hour period each year, voting privileges on select works and invitations to preview parties

Investors - $1,000 annually

Includes all basic membership benefits, St. Louis Art Museum membership, 10% savings on St. Louis Art Museum stores, voting privileges on select works and invitations to preview parties

Collectors Club - $150 per person or $300 per couple annually

Includes all basic membership benefits, one personalized brick paver (one-time installation for initial membership), voting privileges on select works and invitations to preview parties

Friend - $50 annually

Includes all basic membership benefits

Student - $15 annually

Includes all basic membership benefits at a reduced rate

Internship Opportunities

Internships provide experiences for undergraduate and graduate students to learn about the practices of the Schmidt Art Center, including hands on experience with gallery exhibitions, outdoor art, a permanent collection and arts education. Students will become aware of a variety of career opportunities in the art field and begin to build valuable experience necessary to enter into the professional world of art. Internships at the Schmidt Art Center are unpaid volunteer opportunities.

  • Being a greeter
  • Serving as a docent
  • Assisting in the office
