Lynette Rienbolt is the director of Selsius™ Corporate & Career Training. She is responsible for the management of the department and the products and services we provide.
Rienbolt initially joined Selsius™ in 1997 as the director of Computer Training Services. In the fall of 1999, she was promoted to department director. Under her leadership, Selsius™ expanded its training services from primarily technology and business skills to include industrial skills, Lean Six Sigma, project management, driver safety, training video development, online training and consulting. She initiated a partnership with the college's Industrial Technology Center to provide state-of-the-art industrial skills to manufacturers in our district. She forged partnerships with a variety of organizations to bring more and varied products and services to our clients. Those partnerships include Dale Carnegie St. Louis, Illinois Manufacturing Extension Center (IMEC), the Illinois Green Economy Network (IGEN), HR Illinois (a division of the Illinois Chamber of Commerce), and Lewis & Clark Community College.
Rienbolt also worked to have Selsius™ qualified as a GSA contractor to provide training for the federal government. This makes Selsius™ a preferred training supplier for all federal agencies.
Prior to joining Selsius™, Rienbolt worked for 15 years in the banking industry for Centerre and Boatmen's National Bank in the Investment Banking Division. During her time there, she worked as a foreign exchange trader, documentation administrator, trainer and systems administrator.
Rienbolt is a DDI certified trainer and has completed the Dale Carnegie courses, Skills for Success and Sales Advantage. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Eastern Illinois University and a Master of Business Administration from Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville. She is involved in numerous community organizations, including Metro-East Regional Chamber Board, Chamber of Commerce, Illinois Community College Board's Business & Industry Centers Advisory Council, St. Louis Regional Chamber Economic Development Network, American Society for Training & Development (ASTD), and both the Illinois and National Councils for Continuing Education and Training. Lisa Kenney has been a Selsius™ account executive since 2006. She is the front-line contact for Selsius™, meeting with organizations and businesses in the region to analyze workplace problems and determine solutions. Kenney knows training - she has facilitated training on leadership and employee development for 25 years. Her training work focused on leadership development, front-line supervisory skills, communication styles and trainer development. In her role as account executive, she has expanded her knowledge base to include industrial skills, project management, Lean Six Sigma, assessment testing and surveys
Kenney began her training career as an instructional designer and facilitator for State Farm corporate headquarters in Bloomington, Ill. Subsequently, she served as training manager for Argosy Casino in Alton, and spent five years with St. Louis Community College as a client development consultant. Prior to those positions, Kenney was an in-demand contract business-skills trainer for Selsius™. Kenney's training experience includes working as an instructional designer, facilitator, presenter and trainer developer.
Kenney is a certified facilitator for the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, a certified trainer for AchieveGlobal, a master trainer for DDI, and a DDI certified Manager Ready Feedback Provider. She holds a bachelor's degree from Stephens College in Columbia, Mo., and a master's degree in management and leadership from Webster University. She has furthered her professional development by completing the Dale Carnegie Skills for Success and Sales Success courses. Kenney is a member of weTRaIN, the American Society of Training & Development (ASTD), and the SWIC Speakers Bureau. She has also been trained as a Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma.
Joe Streit is one of two account executives for Selsius™; he joined our team in 2012. His goal is to serve companies in the region that need training and development for their employees. While he is a certified leadership development and customer service trainer, he uses experienced subject matter experts in organizational development, technology, industrial, safety, continuous improvement and more to find the best solution for his clients.
Prior to joining Selsius™, Streit held a similar position for almost five years at Parkland Community College in Champaign-Urbana, Ill. While there, he acquired over $2 million in state and federal grants to help area employers obtain skill upgrades for their employees. Business skill development, including interpersonal communication and supervisory skills, is his specialty, but he also has experience in quality/continuous improvement and Lean Six Sigma, as well as industry specific training such as manufacturing, healthcare and others. Streit has been trained as a Yellow Belt in Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques.
Prior to joining Parkland College, Streit spent nearly eight years in the newspaper industry in Champaign, Ill. He also served more than eight years as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps.
He is a past president of weTRaIN, and has served on human resources, nonprofit and economic-development boards. He is also a former trustee for the Village of Atwood.
Streit has a degree in business management from Parkland College. He has attended several Dale Carnegie courses to enhance his skills, including Sales Success, Skills for Success and Achieving Success with Exceptional Interpersonal Skills. He is a certified trainer for AchieveGlobal, a certified DDI Manager Ready Feedback Provider and a member of the American Management Association.
Joyce Oltmann is the director of Computer Training Services for Selsius™ Corporate & Career Training. She has more than 25 years' experience in information technology, consulting and training. She brings experience in employee development, project management, information technology and training to Selsius™.
Oltmann joined Selsius™ in 2003. She is responsible for the sales, development and delivery of technology training. She manages all Selsius™ technology equipment, both in the office and computer labs, and is responsible for the Selsius™ website and social media efforts. She works closely with SWIC Human Resources to provide Selsius™ training courses for college employees. She and her group provide technical support to the Selsius™ team in its daily work and on special projects and contract work.
Oltmann began her professional career with Anderson Consulting, now Accenture. She spent more than seven years consulting in a wide variety of industries including manufacturing, banking, retail, transportation and government. Her client engagements included long-term systems planning, system design, development and implementation, and system audits. She held the position of consulting manager prior to leaving.
Subsequently, Oltmann joined Boatmen's Bank in St. Louis as an IT project manager. She gained experience in various IT positions during her 10 years with the Bank, spanning NationsBank's acquisition of Boatmen's and, later, the merger with Bank of America. During her bank tenure, she served as the manager of distributed computing, business and consumer loan center systems manager, business architect for integrated sales and service, business architect for direct/indirect consumer credit, and unit architect for the bank's technical architecture strategy. At the time of her departure from Bank of America, she served as a vice president and was a unit architect and charter member of the bank's design engineering team.
Oltmann holds two Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of Illinois - Champaign, one in finance and one in actuarial science. She received her Master of Business Administration from Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville. Oltmann has been trained as a Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma, has completed the Dale Carnegie Sales Success course and is a member of weTRaIN.
Linda Boyce has the distinction of having the longest tenure with Selsius™ Corporate and Career Training; she joined Selsius™ in 1993. She began her career as the assistant director of Computer Training Services. In 2001, she moved to her current role as program development specialist.
As program development specialist, Boyce works with Selsius™ staff, vendors, trainers and developers to provide curriculum and ensure the quality of training materials for non-technology training. She also assists with management of training contracts including: scheduling, materials preparation, program evaluation and program tracking. Boyce also serves as project manager for all Selsius™ special events, such as our free executive briefings, and for the implementation of new programs.
Boyce's prior business experience includes co-ownership in a retail clothing business and work for Southwestern Illinois College's Special Services department.
Boyce holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale with a specialization in education, training and development. She has also completed Dale Carnegie's Sales Success and Skills for Success courses. Boyce is a member of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD).
Debra Lassman has been with Selsius™ since 1994, joining the department as a contract trainer. Since 2006, she has served as the department's full-time software training specialist. In this role, Lassman takes the lead in assessment of clients' technology-training needs and development and implementation of software-application training. She also evaluates curriculum and develops custom curriculum, conducts software training for clients and provides technical assistance to the Selsius™ team. She is the chair of our Trainer Development Committee, responsible for the ongoing development of our trainers' skills.
Lassman's primary training expertise is in Microsoft Office. She also teaches these subjects as an adjunct faculty member for the SWIC Business Division and the Adult Basic Education department. She is an expert trainer in Adobe Acrobat Professional and Windows operating systems, including Windows XP, 7 and 8. In addition to technology, Lassman has been trained and certified to facilitate business skills professional development, such as leadership and team building.
Lassman has worked as a trainer in both large and small organizations. Prior to joining Selsius™, she worked as an independent training contractor for several law firms and banks, gaining valuable real world experience.
Lassman is a Microsoft Certified application specialist and a DDI certified professional development training facilitator. She has completed Office 2013 and Windows 8 training at the annual Working Connections conference in Springfield, Ill. She holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Mo, and is a member of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD).
Gina Niebrugge brings more than 20 years of training and industry experience to the Selsius™ training program. She is a talented computer software trainer with extensive experience in instructional design, technical writing and training coordination.
Niebrugge joined Selsius™ in 2004 as a contract trainer. In 2006, she joined the Selsius™ staff as assistant director of Computer Services, while continuing her contract trainer role. Her department duties include development and maintenance of content on the Selsius™ website and support for marketing efforts including email marketing, direct mail and social media. She is also involved in instructional design for customized client programs, including custom training video development. Her computer training specialty is the Microsoft Office Suite, including Visio and MS Project. She is also proficient in Windows operating systems, Adobe Acrobat Professional, and web development software including WordPress, Microsoft Expression Web and Adobe's Dreamweaver.
Prior to joining Selsius™, Niebrugge held a similar position for more than four years at Lake Land College in Mattoon, Ill. Previously, she worked as an onsite trainer and PC training administrator at Caterpillar for Valcon Computer Learning Center in Decatur, Ill. Niebrugge also worked as a technical writer, and educator and systems advisor for Professionals' Software Inc. in Effingham.
Niebrugge earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in speech communication from Eastern Illinois University and has completed graduate work in workforce development. She is a Microsoft certified application specialist and has completed Office 2013 and Windows 8 training at the annual Working Connections conference in Springfield, Ill.
James Eames serves as the Selsius™ Technical Support/Lead Technician. He joined the college in 1996, first as a lab assistant and later as a lab technician and coordinator assistant.
In 1998, he moved to his current position as lead technical support for the college's Business Division and Selsius™. He installs hardware, software, and network solutions and is generally responsible for all technology in computer labs and classrooms. Eames takes the lead in troubleshooting technology issues and recommends and investigates hardware/software replacements and upgrades for the Selsius™ desktop and mobile labs.
Eames functions as the department's liaison with the college's IT department and vendor personnel. He is a past or present member of the Student Technology Committee and the Information Technology Commission, serving on the Instructional Technologies Committee and the End-User Technology Committee within the commission.
Previously, Eames served in the United States Air Force. He worked as a wideband communications systems specialist with fixed-site and mobile communications equipment for over four years.
Eames earned an Associate's Degree in computer information systems from Southwestern Illinois College. He has also completed coursework at Kansas State University and Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville. Eames is the Vice President of the SWIC Educational Employees Local 6600 IFT/AFT/CIO Union and is a member of the negotiation team.
Donna Forsyth has been a member of the Selsius™ team since 1999. She initially joined Selsius as a temporary employee; she was hired as the department's full-time administrative assistant in April 2000. In January 2012, Donna's role changed: she is now our sales support coordinator. In this role, she assists the sales staff with scheduling, ordering materials and coordinating with both clients and trainers for all non-technology contract training.
Prior to joining Selsius™, Forsyth spent more than 15 years as an administrative assistant in the human resources departments for Six Flags St. Louis and the County of Boone in Missouri. She also spent almost two years as a member of Office Team, working for various employers in southern Illinois.
Forsyth attended East Central College in Union, Missouri, where she received a two-year clerical certificate.
Jackie Petty joined Selsius™ in July 2000 as the department's accounting technician. In this capacity she is responsible for all things financial, including accounts receivable and accounts payable, as well as payroll and personnel records. Petty is also responsible for grant and financial reporting for the department.
Prior to joining Selsius™, Petty was employed in the banking industry for more than 25 years. She began with Centerre and continued her career through the series of acquisitions and mergers through the 1980s and 1990s with Boatmen's Bank, NationsBank and Bank of America. Petty served as an assistant vice president in the department of international trading operations. She was responsible for foreign exchange transactions, Eurodollars and various other international investments.
