Individual Appointments
There are several reasons to set an individual appointment in the Special Services Center:
- If you are a student with a learning disability, find out what services are available and build an individualized support services plan to enhance your academic success.
- If you are a vocational student (or prospective student) with financial need, find out what community resources are available to help with costs such as housing, utilities, food, clothing, etc. Staff will make specific referrals to the available resources. (See Community Agency Resource Directory and Referrals)
- If you are a vocational student and eligible for the College's Financial Aid Program, you may also be eligible for a Special Services Financial Award. Awards may be used to help pay for books, lab fees, small required classroom equipment and supplies, and temporary day care and transportation.
- If you have a physical or emotional disability, learn what accommodations can be made.
- If you are a vocational student having academic difficulty, get study skills information/strategies and referrals to on-campus tutoring and workshops.
- If you are a displaced homemaker or single parent wanting to pursue a career program, gain information and discover what community resources can help you overcome barriers to personal and vocational success.
- If you are a vocational student with limited English proficiency, learn what support services you might be eligible to receive.
