Welcome to the Success Center in East Saint Louis!

The Success Center, located within the East Saint Louis Community College Center, exists to assist you, the student. Our goal is to support you in your effort to develop study skills and achieve academic success. The Success Center offers opportunities for enrichment, practice, and reinforcement that supplement the more formal classroom experience. You can find our dates of operation at the bottom of this page.

Tutoring: The Success Center staff and Lace assistants provide individual and small group tutoring to any student enrolled in one of the ESLCCC programs. SWIC students from any campus are welcome.

Workshops: Success Center and SWIC staff offer academic, study skills, and career exploration workshops every semester.

Resources: Internet access and educational software are available on the Success Center computers. You can also view instructional videos for academic and study skills. Also available for use in the Success Center are calculators and many of the textbooks required for courses offered here.

Online Writing Lab (OWL): The purpose of the OWL is to provide access to writing tutors for Southwestern Illinois College students who have difficulty coming to the Success Centers. Writing tutors provide analysis and suggestions for improvement of papers that are submitted online.

Wednesday & Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Closed Fridays Summer Semester

The Success Center will be closed:
Monday, September 1 for Labor Day
Tuesday, November 11 for Veterans Day
Thursday, November 27-Sunday, November 30 for Thanksgiving
Wednesday, December 24, 2008-Friday, January 2, 2009 for Christmas Break
