Welcome to the Red Bud Campus Success Center!

The mission of the Success Center is to supplement and enhance classroom instruction by assisting students in developing the skills and strategies to become confident, independent and active learners. This is accomplished through a variety of support services for students.

The Success Center provides new opportunities for students at the Red Bud Campus. The Center offers comfortable group study areas, video viewing, relaxed seating for laptop accessibility and study, testing and distance learning services. Other services include Compass assessment, portable DVD players, and easy-to-use Plato tutoring software which offers students the opportunity to learn at their own pace in reading, writing, math, social studies or science. Personalized tutoring assistance, Internet access, Microsoft Office software access, and career research Internet resources are other services available for students visiting the Success Center.

Tutoring: The Success Center staff, LACE tutors and peer tutors provide tutoring in a number of academic areas. Tutoring schedules are available in the Success Center. Watch for the Fall 2008 tutor schedule.

Workshops: Workshops are offered each semester on general and specific academic skills, study skills and career exploration. The schedule is posted in the Success Center. Please contact Counseling at 800-222-5131, ext. 8114 for information on free workshops at the Red Bud Campus.

Computer Programs: Computers are available for academic support and Internet access.
