Sustainability Events

“Get Caught Green Handed” is an initiative of the Sustainability Center with help from College Activities and the Green Guy. Students at SWIC were caught doing something eco-friendly at one of the campuses weekly during the fall 2012 semester. They received great prizes including an organic t-shirt, a reusable water bottle or reusable grocery bags. The Green Guy assisted WITS at the Red Bud Campus Recycle It All Fest with the electronic recycling pick-up.

Web Innovations and Technology Services (WITS)

  • No Pick up in May (Mother's Day)

Members of the community are invited to bring in their old computers, televisions, VCRs, DVD players, home electronics, washers, dryers, refrigerators and more. WITS, a nonprofit organization, asks for donations for certain larger items to help cover costs of appropriate recycling.
