The Southwestern Illinois College Red Bud Campus will show you just how easy it is to be green with the upcoming Recycle It All Fest planned for Saturday, Oct. 5.

Events run from noon-3 p.m. on the SWIC Red Bud Campus grounds, 500 W. South Fourth St. The festival is free and open to the public. Events will take place rain or shine!

A number of vendors will be on hand to accept items you'd like to recycle. Shred-It will provide paper shredding. WITS Inc. will collect electronics and large appliances for recycling.

The Randolph County Humane Society and Violence Prevention Center of Southwestern Illinois will be on hand to help repurpose items. A clothing and household goods collection drive will benefit the Violence Prevention Center of Southwestern Illinois. In addition, the Randolph County Humane Society will provide pet adoption.

Free family activities will include pumpkin decorating, a haystack find, and recycled and green arts and crafts.

The Illinois Freemasons will once again visit the campus to offer the Illinois Child Identification Program. This free program assists authorities by providing vital information to find and identify lost, missing or exploited children.
