• Served as the guest musical conductor at the Belle Fair Honors Band Festival at Central School in O’Fallon on Nov. 28, 2011.

Paula McAteer, Assistant Professor of Art  

• Was appointed to the Board of the Illinois Higher Education Art Association for a two-year term beginning Oct. 1, 2011.

Matt McCarter, Assistant Professor of English  

• Was nominated for the prestigious Pushcart Prize in Short Fiction for a short story he wrote that was published in “A Few Lines Magazine.”

Dianna Shank, Professor of English  

• Was selected to participate in the 2012 Dartmouth Summer Seminar for Composition Research, following a highly competitive review of applications from around the country.
