High School Equivalency Classes

The Adult Education department offers FREE high school equivalency test preparation classes at its Belleville, Sam Wolf Granite City and Red Bud campuses and at many extension sites. These classes prepare students for a high school equivalency examination.

Classes start monthly and usually last four or eight weeks. Day and evening classes are available.
Pre-registration is required to enroll for all locations.
Pre-registrations are held at the Belleville and Sam Wolf Granite City campuses and at the East St. Louis Community College Center.

For information or to pre-register for a class, call 618-235-2700, ext. 5525, or toll free in Illinois at

For students 16 or 17 years old:
As of Jan. 1, 2012, Adult Education programs must receive separation documentation or written documentation stating a student is not enrolled in high school for any student 16 or 17 years old. Students over 18 years of age do NOT need to fill out this form.
