Music - Concert Choir

Concert Choir PhotoThe Southwestern Illinois College Concert Choir is a large choral ensemble that performs standard choral repertoire from various musical periods. Membership is open to all students, regardless of major.

The Concert Choir performs in a variety of events including concerts, workshops, festivals and both domestic and international tours. Past tours include performances at New York's Carnegie Hall and cathedrals in Paris and London, as well as the opportunity to perform with world-class musicians such as John Rutter, Robert Ray and Alice Parker.

Concert Choir meets every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from noon to 12:50p.m. Admission to the ensemble is by an informal audition in which the student must demonstrate an ability to match pitches and blend with an ensemble. Membership for the entire academic year is highly encouraged.
