Whether it’s a road trip or a foreign adventure, let Southwestern Illinois College Programs and Services for Older Persons Travel Program make it happen!

Join PSOP on Sept. 6-12, 2019 for a seven-day journey north to magnificent Michigan, with many amazing stops along the way. Visit one of the top 10 islands in the world by Conde¢ Nast Traveler, Mackinac Island; experience old-world charm of an Amish farm; and discover one of Trip Advisors top five small town destinations in the United States, the waterfront community of Traverse City. Also, enjoy the Bavarian culture of Frankenmuth; view the world-renowned sculptures at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park; learn about the life and times of our 38th president at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum, and much more.

The trip includes round trip motor coach transportation, six nights hotel accommodations, 12 meals, sightseeing, all activities and admissions as listed in the itinerary, all tour-related taxes and gratuities, baggage handling and travel insurance. Prices are $2,449 per person, with double occupancy, and $3,179 for single occupancy.

For those considering a lengthier, international journey, look no further than the Danube River European Cruise, Sept. 20-29, 2020. Experience all the history and culture of the Danube Riverway including a performance of “Oberam­mergau Passion Play” and Munich’s legendary Oktoberfest, plus visit ancient cities and villages in Germany, Hungary, Austria and Slovakia.

The eight-night trip leaves Sunday, Sept. 20, 2020. The tour includes roundtrip airfare, six-night outside cabin cruise accommodations, one night in Oberammergau and one night in Munich area hotel accommodations, 21 meals, activities, hotel and ship transfers, baggage handling, international taxes, fees, fuel and port charges. Prices begin at $6,549 per person. A passport is required and must be valid through April 1, 2021.

The 2020 performance of “Oberammergau Passion Play” marks the 42nd presentation of the historically significant production, which was first performed in 1634. Enjoy Munich’s world famous Oktoberfest at your own pace, navigate through the festival and indulge in authentic Bavarian food, sample ‘liquid bread’ or beer, and discover an array of history and culture. Also included in the itinerary are city tours of Budapest, Bratislava, Vienna and Munich, a Durnstein walking tour and wine tasting and much more.
