Leonard’s Heating and Cooling is a family-owned heating and air conditioning company in Madison, IL. Our team of two technicians is currently seeking to hire one additional technician for full-time support. The ideal candidate has knowledge or experience in HVAC work. Will consider students in training for HVAC or graduate technicians, even without experience.
• Expected work 5 days per week
• The workday varies from 6 to 8 hours but usually runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Will paid at a rate of $15/hr
Selected Job Duties:
• Install, maintain, and repair: Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, and ventilation systems
• Perform inspections: Inspect HVAC systems for safety and effectiveness
• Perform repairs: Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
• Perform maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, adjusting, and recharging refrigerant
• Perform emergency repairs: Respond to emergencies as needed
• Perform energy-efficiency upgrades: Install smart thermostats or seal ducts
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, appliance standards, and OSHA
Skills & Experience:
• Good communication and skills
• Ability to work within a team
• Physical fitness, including the ability to lift at least 50 pounds
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
• Listen to and follow instructions
