Polisher
(Stainless Steel Metal Finisher)

You would be responsible for grinding and polishing stainless-steel products, matching work orders to product, completing required documentation for product and inspecting finished product to ensure products meet quality standards.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate hand tools for grinding and polishing; using specific methods for specific assemblies assigned.
  • Polish metal component to ensure welds are smooth and ready for the paint process.
  • Lifts and moves parts/product on and off work area then stages product in storage area.
  • Use various hand tools and power tools.
  • Complete required quality control inspections which may include a visual parts inspection to ensure quality standards are not compromised,
  • Clock in and out of work orders.
  • Match work orders to components and complete any required documentation.
  • Ensure quality throughout the production process while maintaining a safe, clean work environment.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to use hand tools safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
  • Ability to use a grinder and polisher.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and understand basic shop drawings, specifications, and parts lists.
  • Must pass Skills Assessment for Power Tools.
  • Must consciously and safely work and maneuver around cut stainless steel.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.
  • Must be able to see details at close range.
  • Must be able to lift up to 85 pounds at times.

Starting Salary: $18 – $20/hour or higher depending on experience.
