POSITION DESCRIPTION: In accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, this full-time, tenure-track faculty position involves the management of a multi-campus social services program to include delivering mental health services to students, compliance-based health and wellness assessment, as well as creating and evaluating programming. This position will provide direct one-on-one appointments with students, assess their needs, provide community referrals, maintain of confidential case records, research and compose necessary data reports. Responsibilities include district-wide prevention programming for students and the college at large. Flexibility in working hours, including evenings and occasional weekends with district-wide services, is required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work is required.
- Illinois LCSW or LCPC in Illinois within 2 years of employment is required.
- Three years of direct clinical social work/prevention and education experience is preferred. Higher education experience is preferred.
- Comprehensive domestic violence/sexual assault training to be completed within one year of hire.
- Knowledge of local/regional social service agencies is preferred.
- A valid driver’s license and proof of insurance is required.
- Proficiency is Microsoft Office Suite is required.
- Experience with report and survey writing is preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are preferred, including program planning for diverse populations.
SALARY: This is a twelve-month position with the salary determined by placement on the case salary schedule and an adjustment for the twelve-month schedule. For example, the minimum 2025-2026 starting salary at Step 1 on the Master’s Degree column is $78,471. The actual salary is determined by educational level and placement on the appropriate salary schedule.
