Racing Industry Charitable Foundation – Collinsville IL

The Racing Industry Charitable Foundation, Inc. (www.ricfinc.org) is currently looking to fill the position of a part-time medical/dental assistant. Relaxed family practice atmosphere.

Small office. 16 – 20 hours per week
Experienced and recently certified individuals are welcome to apply. Students welcomed.

Medical Duties:

–Assist medical personnel with the examination and treatment of patients.
–Interview patients (in English and Spanish), measure vital signs, and record information on patients’ charts.
–Ability to perform basic vitals and POC testing (can train)
–Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations.
–Perform essential clerical duties, including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing. Minor billing.
–Perform basic materials management functions, including ordering and stocking supplies.
–Assist with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
–Documentation of notes into the clinic EHR system.
–Knowledge of programs provided by the county and state Health Departments.

Dental Duties:

–Chair-side assisting
–Set up and cleaning of the exam room
–Front office experience.
–Charting and minor billing
–Maintaining and ordering of supplies.

Professional Skills:

–Bi-lingual ability in Spanish preferred.
–Computer skills to work with EHR software (PracticeFusion)
–Organization skills
–Commitment to providing quality and compassionate care to individuals.
–Excellent communication skills. Ability to communicate with patients, the public, staff, and volunteers in a professional, warm, and sensitive manner. (including confidentiality)
–Ability to work independently, good organizational skills, and attention to detail required.
–Willingness to participate in a team approach to health care but assured enough to work independently and proactively for the patients and clinic.
–Perform light housekeeping

Hours/Wages

–16 – 18 hours per week; Mondays a must

–$16 – $18 per hour
