If you left high school without earning a diploma and feel that now is the time to earn one, let Southwestern Illinois College help you get ready. The Adult Education and Literacy department will offer free high school equivalency preparation classes in St. Clair, Madison and Randolph counties in October.

 

Daytime classes will be meet Monday through Thursday from Monday, Oct. 9 to Wednesday, Nov. 15 from 9 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. at the following locations:

  • SWIC Belleville Campus – 2500 Carlyle Ave.
  • SWIC Sam Wolf Granite City Campus – 4950 Maryville Road
  • East St. Louis Community College Center – 601 James R. Thompson Blvd.

 

Daytime classes will meet Monday, Tuesday, Thursday from Monday, Oct. 9 to Tuesday Nov. 14 at the following locations:

  • SWIC Red Bud Campus – 500 W. South Fourth St. – 9-11:50 a.m.
  • Cahokia Library – 140 Cahokia Park Drive – 10 a.m. to 12:50 p.m.

 

A Tuesday/Thursday class will be offered from Tuesday, Oct. 17 to Tuesday, Dec. 12 from
9-11:50 a.m. at Emerson Park Development Corp.,
1798 Summit Ave.

 

Evening classes will meet from Tuesday, Oct. 17 to Thursday, Dec. 7 from 5-8:35 p.m. at the following locations:

  • SWIC Belleville Campus – 2500 Carlyle Ave.
  • SWIC Sam Wolf Granite City Campus – 4950 Maryville Road
  • East St. Louis Community College Center – 601 James R. Thompson Blvd.
  • Collinsville High School ­– 2201 S. Morrison Ave.

A Spanish-language high school equivalency class will meet at the SWIC Sam Wolf Granite City Campus Mondays from Oct. 23 to Nov. 11 from 5:30-8:35 p.m.

 

A mandatory preregistration and orientation session is required.
