If you’re interested in earning your high equivalency certificate or learning a new career path, Southwestern Illinois College is now offering free Adult Education classes starting in February at the New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 5803 Belmont Ave. in East St. Louis.
“We’re very excited to offer free Adult Education classes at the New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church,” said Adult Education and Literacy Director Lisa Atkins. “This is an opportunity to better serve the educational needs of the East St. Louis community.”
Career Pathways class, which helps students assess their career interests and strengths, will be offered Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 13 and 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
High school equivalency preparation classes, which help students prepare to take the high school equivalency certification test, will meet Tuesday and Thursday, Feb. 19 through March 28 from 10 a.m. to 2:25 p.m.
