Construction Apprenticeship Training Programs

Students seeking admission to a construction trade apprenticeship program must meet the admission requirements of the construction trade of choice, Department of Labor, Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training, and Southwestern Illinois College.

In each area listed, the student can earn a Certificate of Proficiency or an Associate in Applied Science degree.

In addition, a student can earn a bachelor’s degree by transferring to Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, which accepts the Associate in Applied Science degree and offers the Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology (The Capstone Option).

Students accepted into any of the Construction Apprenticeship Degree programs must take the COMPASS skills assessment, a math and English placement evaluation. Students shall meet all institutional requirements for the Associate in Applied Science Degree.
