SUMMARY:Red Bud CTE Ribbon Cutting and Open House
DESCRIPTION:Southwestern Illinois College (SWIC) invites prospective students\, parents\, and community members to attend an Open House on Thursday\, April 9\, 2026\, from 10:0am-6pm at the Red Bud Career & Technical Education Facility (CTE). \n\n\n\nThe open house will showcase hands-on\, workforce-focused programs designed to prepare students for in-demand careers in skilled trades. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore program offerings\, meet faculty and staff\, and learn how SWIC supports students from enrollment through career readiness. \n\n\n\nPrograms featured at the CTE building include: \n\n\n\n\nWelding\n\n\n\nIndustrial Electricity\n\n\n\nForklift Certification\n\n\n\n\nIn addition to program demonstrations\, representatives from Enrollment Services and Financial Aid will be available to answer questions about applying to SWIC\, paying for college\, and available scholarship opportunities. \n\n\n\n“This open house is an excellent opportunity for students and community members to see firsthand how SWIC’s career and technical programs provide practical training that lead directly to employment\,” said Robert Tebbe VP of Enrollment\, Marcom & Strategy. “Our Red Bud CTE facility is designed to give students real-world experience using industry-standard equipment.” \n\n\n\nThe event will be held at the Red Bud Career & Technical Education Facility\, located at500 W.
