Areas of study offered
Bachelor of Arts degree in History
A Bachelor of Arts degree in History prepares students for careers in business, industry, or government, as well as for continued study leading to advanced degrees, for professional careers in academia, and in various archival and research fields.
A minor in history is a good choice for any of the other social sciences as well as for English, foreign language and journalism.
Associate degree with an emphasis on history
An associate degree with an emphasis on history provides a basic overview of the discipline and prepares you to transfer to a four-year history program.
Diagnostic Medical Sonography courses are offered full-time during the day. The program can be completed in 12 months.

Belleville Campus
The Sonography program has the capacity for approximately 20 students admitted each summer at the Belleville Campus.
Seats available are dependent on meeting application requirements and on clinical availability.

Certification Requirements
Upon successful completion of the Sonography curriculum, graduates are awarded a certificate as a sonographer.
Graduates of the sonography curriculum are eligible to take the certification examination by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
To work in Illinois, graduates of the program must provide proof of graduation from a sonography training program.
Illinois sonography employers prefer professional certification by the ARDMS for students to gain employment as a sonographer.
