Collaborative Arts Fund

The purpose of this fund is to support and enhance the Art Center through activities considered cultural in scope, with the primary emphasis on providing guest appearances by recognized performing or visual artists, or securing works of artfor the permanent collection. The fund is to benefit students and residents of the college district and not for on-going operational expenses of the college.

Collector’s Club

This fund is to be used for the purchase and display of artwork for the College and Foundation permanent collection.

Facility Rental

The purpose of this fund is to support enhancements to and further the usage of the Schmidt Art Center facility.

Schmidt Art Center Exhibits Fund

This fund supports exhibitions of incoming and outgoing loans of artwork and traveling exhibitions.

Schmidt Art Center Friends Fund

The Schmidt Art Center Friends Fund is used as matching funds for the purchase of artwork for the College and Foundation permanent collection or to assist in the rental of traveling exhibitions.

Schmidt Art Center Gardens Maintenance and Improvement Fund

The Schmidt Art Center Garden Maintenance and Improvement Fund supports enhancement of The Schmidt’s Sculpture Gardens beyond the regular care and maintenance of the gardens.

Schmidt Art Center Maintenance and Improvement Fund

The Schmidt Art Center Maintenance and Improvement Fund supports enhancement of The Schmidt beyond the regular care and maintenance, including specialized equipment to enhance the display and conservation of the art.

Schmidt Art Center Programming

The purpose of this fund is to support programs designed to expand visitors’ enjoyment and understanding of the Schmidt’s exhibits or to enhance the public’s experience of art in many forms.

Schmidt-Barton Art Center & Gardens Fund

The purpose of this fund is to support and enhance the Schmidt Art Center and surrounding gardens.

Schmidt Art Center Gallery Fund

The Schmidt Art Center Gallery Fund is used to support the enhancement of exhibitions and to make possible the display of artwork to the public in the Schmidt’s four galleries.

Student Art Show Fund

This fund provides cash awards to high school and SWIC students during their art exhibitions hosted by the Schmidt Art Center.

Vendi Machine Art Scholarship

This fund provides an art student with a $150 award at the SWIC Student Art Show.
