Commercial Maintenance Mechanics A.A.S. Curriculum (053K) - Southwestern Illinois College

The Commercial Maintenance Mechanics program prepares students with the skills and experience necessary to enter the workforce as entry-level technicians in a commercial facility. Students will learn multiple disciplines which include machining, pipefitting, construction, HVACR and electricity. Commercial maintenance mechanics maintain and repair a variety of equipment used in many different facilities such as hospitals, hotels, office buildings, schools and commercial businesses. Because commercial facilities cannot hire specialists for each trade, commercial maintenance technicians are hired to keep the facilities running.
