Education to Careers
The Education to Careers Program is a cooperative education program designed to provide valuable work site learning experiences for 16 – to 21- year-old non-high school graduates. Students who qualify for the program may work part time in the community in a job related to their areas of interest and ability.
The program helps students earn their High School Equivalency certificates, explore career interests and find employment. It encourages participants to enroll in Adult Education’s free computer training classes and other classes offered by the department.
Another major goal of the Education to Careers Program is to assist students in continuing their education at Southwestern Illinois College or other institutions of higher learning.
