Anthropology/Archaeology

Anthropology is the study of culture and biology with the goal of understanding what makes us uniquely human. In addition to documenting particular cultures, anthropologists are interested in the nature of culture and cultural change. Through its holistic approach, it links the social sciences, life sciences, and humanities in the exploration of human variations and universals. The focus includes the biological origins of humans, the archaeological study of past cultures, and the exploration of the modern day cultural diversity. The anthropological perspective is a useful tool for understanding modern life in its global context and meeting the challenges of cross-cultural interactions.
