Specialists are expected to assemble, program, install (with travel) robotic and ancillary equipment (such as conveyors, feeders, guarding, etc.) for automated production systems.
This position requires the ability to read 2D and 3D drawings and assemble systems based off of them with limited oversight. Applicants need knowledge of hand and shop tools (including mills, saws, drills, tape measures, etc.) used to manufacture and assemble various components. The ability to run wire/airline and integrate various electric and pneumatic components according to schematics is crucial.
Good communications and problem-solving skills are required. Specialists are responsible for documenting information about what is used on a project, and should have basic administrative skills: the ability to use a word processor/fill out paperwork. The ability to problem-solve and think creatively in this position is encouraged.
Other tasks that specialists may be required to perform are: packaging equipment for shipment, unpacking equipment from suppliers, organizing and tidying the workspace, maintaining the shop area.
Applicants must be able to lift and carry at least 50lbs.
On the job training will be provided for robot programming, and some shop tool operation.
Hours | M-F 8-5 with an hour for lunch
Pay/Wages | $20-30 per hour depending on skills
