About Us
At Top Shooters, we’re more than a place that says we have a positive culture — we work hard to actually live it. No role here is too small to have a voice; our team is encouraged to speak up, share ideas, and help shape how we operate. We do the kind of volume that competes with large franchise restaurants, but we’ve kept the feel of a locally owned business where people know each other and work as a team.

Top Shooters is a high-energy sports bar and restaurant known for our incredible service, great food, league nights, and one of the busiest bars in the area. Ownership and management emphasize collaboration, accountability, and follow-through — if we say we’re going to do something, we take that seriously.

The Role
This is not a “keep an eye on things” position. We’re looking for an ambitious leader who wants to grow, brings real ideas to the table, and wants a hand in shaping how we operate.

When you’re Manager on Duty, you run the building. You’re responsible for communication and operations across every department on shift — bar, floor, and kitchen — making sure everyone has what they need and service stays on track. Outside of your MOD shifts, you’ll directly lead our barback team, owning their scheduling, development, and performance reviews.

You won’t be doing it alone. You’ll work alongside our second Front of House Manager, Kitchen Manager, AGM, and GM, with real day-to-day backup and leadership that’s invested in developing you.

What You’ll Own as Manager on Duty

Run the shift across all departments, keeping communication clear between bar, floor, and kitchen
Make real-time calls on staffing, service flow, and problem-solving during high-volume lunch rushes, nights, and events.
Lead pre-shift walk-throughs and operational checks, and run opening and closing manager shifts
Address guest concerns and keep service standards high
Count drawers and maintain accurate cash/tip logs
Maintain organization, sanitation, inventory, and compliance standards

What You’ll Own with the Barback Team

Build and manage the barback schedule: coverage, swaps, and staffing levels for busy shifts and events
Conduct 90-day and annual reviews and ongoing performance evaluations
Train, coach, and develop barbacks, and hold them accountable to clear standards
Set and maintain stocking and closing standards so the bar is always set up to succeed

What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)

Build a reliable barback schedule that properly staffs busy nights without blowing labor
Establish clear expectations for the barback team and complete their reviews on time
Run MOD shifts where the team follows your lead: checklists done, instructions followed, staff on time, and standards held
Bring at least one well-thought-out idea to the management team, with a plan behind it, that improves how we operate and train

What We’re Looking For

Experience in a bar or restaurant environment, especially during high-volume, fast-paced shifts
You don’t need a manager title already. If you’ve trained new staff, run point during a rush, or been the person the team turns to when things get busy, that counts
Someone who brings ideas with substance: you notice what could work better, think it through, and come with a plan, not just a complaint
Ambition and a real desire to grow as a leader. We want someone who sees this role as a step forward, not a place to settle in
You take coaching and constructive feedback well, and you use it. We invest in developing our managers, and we expect you to grow from it
Comfortable handling cash, schedules, and problem-solving in the moment
Leads by example and stays calm under pressure
Ready to step into a true management role, not just take on more responsibility without the title

Why People Like Working Here

Real bonus opportunity tied to metrics you control, not just sales you can’t fully influence
A true leadership role with real input on operations, where your ideas actually get heard and acted on
Leadership that invests in your development, with regular feedback and room to grow
We’re a growing business: recent sales momentum means real upside ahead
Ownership that listens and keeps working on itself. We don’t claim to be perfect, but we’re always learning and growing as leaders, the same way we ask our team to
