Mahalo Shaved Ice is a locally owned Hawaiian shaved ice business serving the Metro East community. We are seeking 4 interns to join our team for the 2027 summer season at our hut located at 4020 Pontoon Beach Road, Pontoon Beach, IL.

Season Dates: First weekend of May through Halloween (October 31, 2027). Please note the hut closes during inclement weather and hours change once students are out of school.

Available Positions:
• Weekday Opener (1 position) — Responsible for opening the hut, completing the opening checklist, setting up for the day, and providing excellent customer service through the morning and early afternoon shift. This is an independent role — the weekday opener will work solo in the hut.
• Weekday Closer (1 position) — Responsible for afternoon and evening customer service, completing the closing checklist, and securing the hut at end of day. This is an independent role — the weekday closer will work solo in the hut.
• Weekend All-Day (2 positions) — Friday, Saturday, and Sunday availability required. Weekend interns work together as a team during peak season, sharing responsibilities across full daily operations from open to close, including high customer volume and event preparation.

Compensation:
Interns will receive a weekly stipend.

Requirements:
• Reliable transportation to 4020 Pontoon Beach Road, Pontoon Beach, IL
• Positive attitude and strong communication skills
• Weekend availability required for weekend positions
• Must be available for the full season (May through October)
