Certification Requirements
Upon successful completion of the Pharmacy Technician curriculum, graduates are awarded a certificate as a pharmacy technician. To work in Illinois, graduates of the program must provide proof of graduation from a pharmacy technician training program or attain successful passage of an examination certified by the Institute for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians and the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board. Illinois requires completion of a pharmacy technician training program and registration with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
