The Electrical Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, problem solving, repairing, and maintaining equipment in a timely manner.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues.
• Install, assemble, and disassemble mechanical components.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
• Fabricate parts as needed using various tools and equipment.
• Conduct inspections to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
• Collaborate with other team members to complete projects and tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Always adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
• Install, repair and troubleshoot gensets from 1 kw to 205kw+ in both single and three phase systems.
• Frequent use of multimeter/amp clamps for troubleshooting.
• Panel builds.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must be willing to learn in the first 12 months:
• Strong knowledge of low voltage systems and electrical components.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
• Ability to fabricate parts using various tools and equipment.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Familiarity with logic controllers and industrial automation systems; Mitsubishi, Melsec logic and Rockwell Automation.
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Knowledge of shorepower, residential, commercial and industrial electrical systems.
• Able to communicate with team members in a timely professional manner.
Physical Requirements
• Must be able to sit, crawl, stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, reach, grip, crouch, balance, kneel and climb frequently.
• Must be able to lift and carry 50-100 lbs. frequently.
• Must be able to push and pull 50-100 lbs. frequently.
• Requires up to 25% overnight travel.
Pay: $25-$34/HR
