In accordance with the mission and values of Southwestern Illinois College, the Executive Director is a chief administrative officer on the Sam Wolf Granite City Campus and serves as the college’s primary point of contact for the local communities. The Executive Director serves as a campus liaison for all staff having functional area responsibility for campus operations and activities, including Physical Plant, on the Sam Wolf Granite City Campus and actively representing the college within the community.


The Executive Director monitors campus operations and collaborates with the responsible functional area staff to assist in providing timely and quality campus service and support consistent with established policies and procedures. The Executive Director is responsible for direct supervision of Director of Trio, Campus Operations staff, and for the Granite City Campus chapter of Phi Theta Kappa.
This position will also be responsible for serving as a liaison to Enrollment Development, Student Services, and Instructional Department and assist with program development for the Granite City Campus. This administrator must successfully interact with those in professional and nonprofessional positions within the college and the general public. The Executive Director will represent SWIC’s interest in the community by being active with organizations such as the Chambers of Commerce, Rotary, local and county governments, K-12 systems, etc.


The Executive Director will execute all administrative duties in connection with this assignment. The Executive Director leads the College’s efforts to identify, recruit, and admit the optimal number and quality of traditional and non-traditional students for Southwestern Illinois College’s Granite City Campus. The Executive Director will work collaboratively with internal and external College constituents to ensure enrollment management plans for the Granite City Campus are consistent with the College’s strategic plan. This position reports to the President and serves as a key member of the President’s Staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an appropriate field required, preferably in communications and community relations.
  2. Five years administrative experience in a leadership capacity required.
  3. Related experience in higher education including recruitment, budgetary and personnel responsibilities, strategic planning, and program development.
  4. Knowledge of and experience with the daily operations of the areas of enrollment management and recruiting strongly preferred.
  5. Experience with collaborative recruitment and retention strategies strongly preferred.
  6. Experience in supporting a diverse student population in higher education required.
  7. Strong analytical and computer skills with the ability to develop, interpret, summarize and present complex data to diverse constituencies.
  8. Must successfully pass a criminal background check prior to hire.

SALARY: Salary Grade 7 on the Administrative Pay Scale, ranging from $82,300 to $102,900 per year.
