We have immediate openings for Aluminum Caster Operators to be responsible for following all Job Safety Analysis, Standard Work Instructions, and Quality requirements while operating equipment in the Casting Operation necessary for the Melting and Casting of aluminum.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promote safety, environmental responsibility, and continuous quality improvement in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment – 5 S Condition
- Adhere to all JSA’s (Job Safety Analysis) and Standard Work Instructions.
- Assist in writing and reviewing operational and safety JSAs to improve procedures as well as develop new JSAs based on observations and experiences.
- Safely cast and deliver a quality product that meets all applicable customer requirements while minimizing costs.
- Directly responsible for product flow from the furnaces to the casting units and finishing processes.
- Monitor machine calibrations and adjust as required.
- Set Up and Tear Down Equipment Safely
- Safely operate large mobile equipment including but not limited to bucket loaders, forklifts, ariel lifts, and overhead cranes.
- Assist maintenance team with diagnosis and troubleshooting issues with the equipment.
- Completes and maintains accurate and complete records of production activities through manual and electronic systems.
- Communicate effectively at all levels.
- Operates casting equipment and Melting Furnace
- Reports and reviews of any unusual conditions with the Casting Manager or Casting Supervisor.
- Calculate hardener additions to be added to Melter.
- Provide problem-solving information to other Caster Operators to prevent off-grade production.

- Ability to work in a Non-Controlled Climate
- Ability to read and interpret documents and specifications.
- Basic Microsoft Computer skills
- Basic Math Skills
- Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision or in a team environment.
- Diligence with the ability to identify defects and suggest corrections.
- Required to wear supplied Fire-Retardant Specialized clothing.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle many concurrent activities while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
- Ability to safely operate mobile equipment to include fork trucks and overhead cranes.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
- High school diploma or GED
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to perform all essential physical functions of working in a manufacturing environment such as, climbing, standing, bending, reaching, and squatting.
- Must be able to regularly talk and hear.
- Hands to finger use – fine motor skills such as, turning, grasping, pinching, wrapping, writing, typing, etc.
- Must be able to lift to fifty pounds.
