Position Summary
BMC Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Intern to support daily HR operations while gaining hands-on experience across multiple HR functions. This internship provides exposure to recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, training, and HR compliance. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and interested in pursuing a career in Human Resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with recruitment efforts, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, and scheduling interviews
- Support new hire onboarding by preparing paperwork and maintaining personnel files
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases
- Assist with benefits enrollment, timekeeping, and basic payroll documentation
- Provide administrative support for training and development initiatives
- Respond to employee inquiries and route questions to appropriate HR team members
- Support HR projects and initiatives as assigned
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- High attention to detail with strong follow-through
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
Education & Experience
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work in an office environment with periodic plant visits
