Medicare Insurance Options LLC, Belleville, IL
Compensation: $17/hr
Hours: Part-Time (15–30 hours per week)
Are you looking to gain “full-stack” marketing experience while finishing your education? We are seeking a Paid Marketing Intern to join our Belleville office. This role is uniquely open to High School Seniors, as well as students currently enrolled in Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree programs.
This isn’t a typical internship; you will be a vital part of our daily operations. You will bridge the gap between our digital strategy and our physical outreach, ensuring our brand is seen by the community every single week.
Key Responsibilities & Learning Objectives
• Website & Database Management: Regularly review and update company website contacts. You will ensure our CRM is pristine and synced for our weekly email blasts.
• Digital Content Publishing: Format and post weekly digital blogs to the website and assist in the layout and distribution of our monthly newsletter.
• Marketing Operations (Direct Mail): Gain a specialized skill by operating our in-house digital postage system. You will manage postage funds and act as our liaison with the USPS for bulk mailings.
• Vendor Relations: Coordinate with local Belleville printers and promotional vendors to source quotes, track orders, and ensure the quality of physical marketing assets.
• Data Integrity: Master the art of “clean data” by scrubbing mailing lists to minimize returned physical mail and email bounces.
Qualifications
• Education: Must be a Current High School Senior (with a solid academic record) OR currently enrolled in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree program (Marketing, Communications, Business, or English preferred).
• Attention to Detail: Absolute precision is required. You will be responsible for postage accounting and high-volume mailing addresses where accuracy is paramount.
• Tech-Fluent: A “digital native” who is comfortable with Google Workspace/Microsoft Excel and eager to learn website CMS and email marketing tools.
• Communication: Strong professional writing skills and a polite, confident phone manner for coordinating with the Post Office and local vendors.
• Reliability: You must have dependable transportation to our Belleville office and the ability to maintain a consistent weekly schedule.
Internship Benefits
• Flexible Scheduling: We prioritize your education and will work around high school bell schedules, sports, or university course loads.
• Diverse Skill Set: You will learn both the digital side (blogs/email) and the operational side (USPS logistics/vendor management) of marketing.
• Mentorship: Direct access to leadership to help you build your professional network and resume.
