The Washington County Health Department is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. Working under the supervision of our Nursing Programs Coordinator, this individual will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to a supportive environment for a diverse range of clients.
This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to work independently and manage time efficiently, the ability to collaborate with our clinical team, and a commitment to compassion and respect for our clients.
Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Administering immunizations to individuals from infancy to adulthood
  • Tracking communicable diseases
  • Drawing blood for lab work
  • Assisting in WIC and Case Management programs to offer consistent care to infants, children, and birthing individuals
  • Collaborating in the development and implementation of public health community education services and events
  • Collaborating with community health organizations to connect clients with a wide range of resources

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid Illinois license
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong professional communication skills
  • Previous experience in public health is preferred, but not required

Hours | 35 hours/week, Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm
Pay/Wages | $45,500 – $54,600
